The Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (ShAFF), now in its
ninth year, will feature over 100 films about extreme sports, adventure and
travel.
In addition to films being shown across seven screens, there
will also be talks by world-leading adventurers and extreme sports athletes in
the Pennine Lecture Theatre at Sheffield Hallam University.
One of this year’s special events includes the Jamie Andrew
Charity Fundraiser. The fundraiser will be a premiere of Jamie’s new film “The
Limbless Mountaineer”, followed by a lecture and a discussion by an expert
panel which will include Jamie, the film’s director Paul Crompton and staff
from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. It will take place on Saturday April 5 at
8pm, and ticket sales will be donated Sheffield Hospitals Charity.
ShAFF has proved to be a very popular event since it first
began and this year looks set to be no exception.
The festival runs from Friday April 4 to Sunday April 6.
